Prenatal Class
This class can be applied from conception through birth.
We teach natural ways to increase moms efficiency during delivery
in order to reduce their anxiety. You will learn specific water
movements and ways to breathe in order to make it an easier labor
and delivery for mother and baby.

Baby
Amazing Classes
RETURN TO H20
3-8 Months
Return to water is a parent-tot swim class for you and your newborn.
In this class you will learn how to hold and submerge your infant
as well as how to respond to their earliest reflexes to water. Many
of these reflexes leave by the age of 4-5 months so we give you
and your child the time necessary to get comfortable in the water.
DIAPER
DIVERS
8-20 Months
Diaper Divers is also a parent-tot swim class. Our goals for this
class are a little higher. Now that they have adapted to the water
we work more on structure and respect for the water. We still include
a lot of fun and submerges.
BIG
KIDS SWIM
20-30 Months
3:1 ratio
Big Kids Swim is a big step. This is the first class where your
baby is now in a class with two other children. We take the parent
out and we work on new goals like separation anxiety and structure
in a class atmosphere. This is the final class in the Baby Amazing
Program that prepares your child to enter into Energym's Swim School
program.

PRE-SCHOOL
SWIM CLASSES
Pre-School Level 1
This class is for our beginning pre-schoolers who have not attended
formal learn-to-swim classes and are uncomfortable in the water.
Focus in this class is on adjusting to working in a classroom setting,
understanding how to be safe in and around water, and to be comfortable
in the water well enough to submerge self when requested by coach.
Pre-School Level 2
This class helps the child gain a cognitive understanding of their
lung capacity. We do this by blowing many different types of bubbles
(slow, fast, sporadically . . . .) We are looking for the child
to be able to fully self-submerge themselves, exhale all of their
air, return to the surface, inhale and repeat 10-15 times without
pausing. We are also interested in the child being able to open
their eyes underwater.
Pre-School Level 3
After the swimmer has gained an understanding of their lung capacity
and can comfortably exchange air in the water, the child progresses
to buoyancy and movement in the water, both on their front and back.
The easiest way to move in the water is to glide through the water
maintaining a relaxed body position.
Pre-School Level 4
At this level the child learns to incorporate kicking with their
buoyancy. They will need to be able to kick across the pool and
back with their arms extended. In addition, the swimmer will be
able to tread water at this point.
Pre-School Level 5
Once kicking has been accomplished,
we start to incorporated underwater arm movement on the front and
back with side breathing.
Pre-School Level 6 & 7
Higher strokes and kicks are introduced.
It will still be very important to discuss your child's individual
swim abilities to identify the appropriate level at the time of
registration.

SCHOOL
AGE SCHOOL SWIM CLASSES
School Age -Level 1
This class is for our beginning school age children who have not
attended formal learn-to-swim classes and are uncomfortable in the
water.
School Age -Level 2
Student begins the front and back glides and recover.
School Age -Level 3
Once the student has accomplished gliding, front and back
kicking is introduced. They must
be able to do this for a length of 15 feet.
School Age -Level 4
At this point to front kicking is now progressing to a
side glide kick and then into a crawl stroke, however, we do not
focus on the breathing aspect yet.
School Age -Level 5
At this level, the student moves from a crawl stroke into
an actual Freestyle stoke that incorporates structured breathing.
School Age -Level 6 & 7
These next two levels the student continues to improve
Freestyle in addition to learning the backstroke and treading water.
The kick breaststroke will all be introduced as well.
School Age -Level 8 to 10
At these levels, the student is learning to perfect form
for all types of strokes (i.e. Freestyle, Breast stroke, Butterfly,
Back stroke). Lastly they learn how to perform an individual medley.
It
will still be very important to discuss your child's individual
swim abilities to identify the appropriate level at the time of
registration.
